the field

silver grass, styrofoam, fans, motors, torch light, 4-channel speakers

The field creates anti-stimulant settings through multiple layers of stimuli using the concept of ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response). It disconnects the audience from the perpetual state of hyperconnectivity in modern society, shutting off surroundings, leaving the audience in solitude, and ultimately transcending them to unnatural.  A multi sensual field of 억새 (korean silver grass) filling the whole space is activating all our senses and playing with our perception.

Programed fans hanging on the wall move the field in different streams, a moving light source seems to search something in the field and a multi surround sound-system is spinning sounds (ASMR whispering in korean mixed with different ambients) through the space while the audience is walking on dried silver grass laying on the ground.
